Sciatica and Radiating Pain
Sciatica is a radiating pain that can travel down the back of the thigh. it is often worsened with flexion of the lumbar spine twisting bending or coughing. symptoms present are radicular pain, and sensory impairment/disturbance.
Radiating pain does not necessarily mean sciatica. Irritated muscles and tissue can often radiate pain. Spread-out achy pain is often indicative of this type, symptoms may include sharp, stabbing pain with numb nerve or tingling.

It takes a thorough evaluation to determine the problem, physiotherapist examines the movement of the spine, hips, and legs, ROM, Strength, and muscle condition, After determining the cause a comprehensive plan is quickly done to relieve pain. Modalities such as electrical stimulation and ultrasound are used to reduce pain. which is followed by restoring normal motion and strength.
