Spinal Stenosis

Spinal Stenosis

Lumbar spinal stenosis is a degenerative condition. It is a narrowing of the central spinal canal where nerves exit the spine to the lower legs. It can cause radiating pain and numbness to the buttock, thigh, or leg. The pain reduces usually when the patient is resting and sits down. It is related to aging.

Physiotherapy Management

Physiotherapy has a very positive effect on patients with spinal stenosis. The conditioning cannot be reverted but can be maintained to restore natural movement. Physiotherapist strengthens spinal muscles and correct posture with exercises.
