The hip joint is the body's largest weight-bearing joint and is commonly affected by osteoarthritis. Many activities for people with hip OA become restricted which has an impact on the health-related quality of life.

Characteristics of pain are:-

• Groin pain radiating into the thigh buttocks on the knee.
• Pain can be worse at night, at rest, or with vigorous activity.
• The range of motion gets reduced.
• Stiffness occurs particularly in the morning or after rest.
