Patella Tendonitis

Tendonitis

Tendinitis means inflammation of the tendons which connect muscles to bones. This condition is also known as “Jumper’s knee”. This structure can often become inflamed due to abnormal joint movements, poor posture, and weakness of the surrounding musculature. This causes a sprain to the tendon with pain during repetitive movement especially with squatting or kneeling down.

Physical Therapy

Conservative treatment – Modalities can be used to reduce pain and discomfort, ROM/mobility exercises, strengthening exercises, and joint coordination exercises to restore stability.
